The Hum Eliminator™ is designed to eliminate 60 cycle hum (60Hz AC signal) caused by
Ground Loops. It is also designed to convert unbalanced lines to a true balanced lines (and
vice versa). Why? Unbalanced lines are more susceptable to picking up electrical noise and

On occasion, usually when running from my laptop to a video monitor, I will get a buzz/hum. I run Bose L1’s, the
sound is normally very clean so any hum or buss is annoyingly noticeable, at least to me it is. I now always run
my laptop through a Hum X and, for more than a year no buzz.
Last week, while running 2 L1’s I got a buz off one of them that was plugged into a separate AC source. I pulled
the Hun X off the laptop and put it on the offending L1's ACconnection. Gone, and luckily no problem with the
laptop/video connection!
Jut in case I pick up noise from 2 sources, I bought a second Hum X. That reminded me of my single
complaint… the price. You would think this thing should cost half the price but it’s a simple fix that works.
I would recommend every DJ keep one of these handy, just in case.
